Welcome to the Sugary Newsletter by yours truly.  🎉 😊

SO WHAT’S NEW?!

OMG! Huge news! Quickstyle (Norwegian dance crew) just got nominated for the Webbys in the Best Individual Performance category!!! 🎉

As you may recall I started working with this crew earlier this year as their exclusive US/Canada representative and getting this kind of honor right from the getgo is a BIG deal.

It means that Quickstyle's work has been recognized as one of the top 5 in the world in its category, putting it in the top 12% of nearly 14,000 projects entered.

And guess what? Being nominated also makes us eligible for the People's Choice Award, but we can't do it without YOU! 🙏

We need your support to help Quickstyle win these prestigious awards. So let's show the world what we've got and vote for Quickstyle for Best Individual Performance and the People's Choice Award by...

💚 Creativity & Inspiration

New York City is a hotbed of innovation that drives progress across the globe. It's a melting pot of diverse cultures where people come to fulfill their dreams and push the boundaries of creativity.

When you live in a place like this, it's impossible not to feel the energy of the city's creative spirit. Everyone who moves here wants to make their mark and contribute to the collective vision.

That's why I'm excited to announce the launch of a new series that celebrates the collaborative and artistic vibes of the city I am proud to call The KINdling.

The KINdling is a gathering for those seeking to connect with like-minded creatives, where artistic expression is encouraged, and the community comes together to witness inspired brilliance through the power of sound. Picture an evening of new music, quality jam sessions, and a few surprises all in the company of great people and feel inspired to perhaps take the first step to create something for your soul.

It’s an evening dedicated to vibe, vision and virtuosity.

If you're interested in being a part of this magical experience and attending a future salon, RSVP on the Sugary Events button below!

Friday April 7th - Chashama x Roger Wu - Community members came out to get an exclusive look of the thought provoking pieces from Roger’s latest project with Chashama. AND DON’T SAY I DIDN’T TELL YOU ABOUT…

So I’m typically quite skeptical about these large installation pop-up exhibitions that come into town every now and again.

The marketing is always sleek but the experience itself leaves much to be desired.

Not so with SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL, a miniature art exhibition that has made its way from Europe onto our shores and into the heart of NYC.

Tiny, whimsical and insanely precise, these diminutive works of art from over 30+ artists across the globe are a testament to craft and patience with each piece presenting a unique examination of daily life and objects interpreted in miniature form. Truly XXS art with XXL artistry!

I hear this exhibition is only here until August so I strongly recommend you grab your tickets and make it on over to check out these beautiful little masterpieces before it’s too late.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

Nu Ganea

This DJ duo hailing from Napoli is your one stop shop for chic summer listening.

Sun kissed sultry rhythms that carry a sophisticated palette of global instrumentation and languages all while blanketing your ears in warm retro disco-ey vibes.

I dare you to listen to this and not picture rooftop cocktails (likely Aperol Spritzs) on a sunny day with a handful of good friends sharing small bites and inspired conversation, all while overlooking coastal waters bluer than your imagination. (Insert a Vespa somewhere in this picture)

Can’t get enough of their sound and neither will you.

Marechià (popular track)

Bar Mediterraneo (lesser known track)

Thank you for taking the time to read to the end!

I hope you found something inspiring and meaningful in my content and until next time, explore the possibilities of NYC.
