🍬 Sugary Scoop: My journey begins

My first newsletter ever.

Fine Folk Holiday Party 2022

Welcome to the first Sugary Newsletter by yours truly.  🎉 😊

SO WHAT’S NEW?!

I'm overflowing with excitement for 2023 because it marks a significant milestone for me. This year, I'll be wholeheartedly embracing my personal brand, Sugary.

For me, Sugary embodies the spirit of community-building through culture, where empathy and belonging are at the core of everything I do.

As a New Yorker, I believe that the city is a melting pot of diverse people and ideas, and I'm eager to cultivate this authentic sense of togetherness through one connected experience at a time.

With the Sugary brand as my guide, I'm confident that 2023 will be a year filled with endless possibilities and heartwarming connections that will inspire us all in three main categories:

💜 Diversity and Curiosity

💙 Communion & Depth

💚 Inspiration & Creativity

In future posts, I'll delve into each category, but let me tell you this - I've never felt more certain about my purpose and direction in life.

I'm determined to make a positive difference in my community through the core values of my brand, Sugary.

The prospect of such a lofty goal is both thrilling and nerve-wracking, but I know in my heart that it's worth every moment of doubt and fear.

And I'm eager to share every step of this journey with you.

Together, we'll create something truly extraordinary.

NEW PARTNERSHIPS

In other news, I’m thrilled to announce that together w/ Julian Alexander I’ll be exclusively representing the QUICKSTYLE dance crew in the Americas & Canada.

In case you don’t know who Quickstyle is, you may have come across this wedding video(above) that went ultra viral and now sits comfortably over a BILLION views across all social media channels.

These guys have been my comrades for many years, and I couldn't be more stoked to join forces with my partner, Julian, and take their influence and recognition to new heights.

If you're keen on doing any sort of collaboration or sponsorship, we'd love to hear from you. Just reply to this email!

AND DON’T SAY I DIDN’T TELL YOU ABOUT…

Imagine an evening where music, dance, spoken word, film, and visual art are seamlessly blended into one eclectic and unforgettable evening.

That is the magic of ART BATH.

Founded by Mara Driscoll, Liz Yilmaz, and Cesar Abreu, Art Bath is truly incredible. I should know, a dear friend invited me to watch her perform in the inaugural show. I went in exclusively to support her, and I left inspired to support the mission and movement by joining their advisory board.

What an unexpected moment of absolute brilliance.

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday Feb. 28th but because they are my friends, you can grab them NOW…RIGHT HERE.

I absolutely urge you to grab tickets because the entire season sells out in a matter of days and don’t say I didn’t tell you!

Come experience magic, the experience will stay with you.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

Dylan Dunlap - This LA based singer songwriter has a brilliant depth to his music that he delivers in a sublime tone and spirited performance.

Dylan’s melodic prowess tackles a lot of complicated issues surrounding mental health and self-care that he himself struggles with at times and makes them accessible and relatable to most people in a genuine way.

Late last year I hosted a special showcase for him for about 200 of my people and I’ll tell you, you could hear a pin drop in that room. Such is the power of Dylan.

Check out some of my favorite tracks below:

If That’s Alright (popular track)

Get More Rest (lesser known track)

Thank you for taking the time to read the first Sugary Newsletter! I hope you found something inspiring and meaningful in my content. I am excited for you to join me on this journey, and I look forward to sharing more with you in future newsletters.
