THE SUGARY EFFECT
Empathy (Part 5): Our First Step of Empathy Together
Shareity + Empathy Challenge
It's time to roll up our sleeves and turn empathy from a buzzword into action.
On December 2nd (Saturday), we're taking over Washington Sq Park for a first-of-its-kind event that's not just another feel-good gathering (although it will feel pretty awesome).
The Challenge: We're partnering with Shareity, a social app that turns good deeds into real impact. For every act of kindness you perform ā be it a hug, a compliment, or helping someone out ā Shareity will donate $1 to the #empathyproject, up to $10,000.
That's right, your good deeds have never been more valuable!
What to Expect: You know how we rolled with over 200 people at our launch party? This time, we're aiming higher. Bring your friends, family, and that neighbor you barely speak to. We'll have influencers walking the walk with us, because let's face it, empathy is more than just a hashtag.
Your Mission: Be there. Be kind. Be the change. From simple gestures like feeding someone in need to guiding lost tourists (we know there's plenty in NYC), every act counts. It's about breaking down walls of indifference one kind deed at a time.
Why This Matters: In an age where division seems to be the daily special, we're choosing a different menu ā empathy. It's not just about seeing the humanity in others;
it's about feeling it, showing it, and making it the norm.
Date & Time: December 2nd, 12pm-3pm
Location: Washington Sq Park, NYC
I think someone said there's also going to be warm drinks available? :)
This isn't just an event; it's a movement.
A million first steps towards a kinder world, and yours begins here.
Are you in?
Because we can't spell empathy without "me" and "you" in it.

AND DONāT SAY I DIDNāT TELL YOU ABOUTā¦
It Writes Itself
AIā¦the final frontier of our attempt to elevate and augment our own thoughts and ideas toward greater heightsā¦but what if instead it was used for hilarity and high jinks instead?
Enter āIt Writes Itselfā. The natural brainchild in an artificial world of creators Sami and Mike Jacobson.
The premise is simple, in front of a packed audience, curated volunteers are asked to present their most hilarious, dumb, and cringeworthy ideas all in hopes that this random silliness will break the AI engine as it attempts to āelevateā the comical machinations of playfully deranged thinking.
Will you be shocked? disgusted? lightly offended? confused?ā¦hopefully all the above! This is after all a safe space for digital tomfoolery. Having attended one of these gatherings I can attest to how amazingly unpredictable this experience is.
Some bits will be brilliant, others less so, but heyā¦the joys of AI right?
Just a short list of some examples of ridiculousness that have surfaced from this new series:
Guess Who - A game where someone prompted AI to make art based on 90s band names, then you all had to guess who.
Shark T-ai-nk - AI used to come up with 3 ridiculous product ideas and visualizations of the products - then they had 3 random audience members come on stage to pitch to the Sharks (the audience), live.
Forbidden Love Aff-ai-rs - AI built out the tabloid stories, photos, love children, and leaked voicemails of celebrity romances too weird for this world (e.g. Pete Davidson x Betty White)
Rat Race - Insane, true facts about horny NY rats turned into an AI monologue from the POV of a fed up lady rat. Featuring soft-core anthropomorphic rat porn
Vow Us - A couple who got married over Covid on Teams, but never actually exchanged vows. So each of them sent 5 reasons they love each other, and had AI take that and build vows that they recited live
This series has already gained quite the following and has already had sold out runs in NYC, LA and Mexico City.
Their next show will be Nov. 29th @ 7pm at Caveat NYC.
I highly recommend you attend and experience the chaotic possibilities of AI

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT
Alana Tsui
Majestic. Poetic. Mesmerizing.
Just some words that aptly describes the beauty of Alanaās work.
This amazing global artist first came into my life through a close friend when I put it out into the world that I was looking for incredible artists for this project.
Her spirit is reflected in the flow of her artistry which has circumnavigated the globe in the form of murals, product pieces and traditional artwork in physical and digital forms.
Intricately hypnotic, Alanaās art focuses on intricate patterns that tap into the divine geometry of nature and spiritual alignment.
It is a style of work that resonates deeply with folks and creates an indelible lasting impression on all those who experience the work of this talented artist.
I honestly canāt wait to see what is next for Alanaā¦somehow I have a feeling that it will be incredibleā¦
Seraphim Wings (iconic piece)
Rising Phoenix (lesser known piece)
Invaluable (newest piece)
Thank you for taking the time to read to the end!
I hope you found something inspiring and meaningful in my content and until next time, explore the possibilities of NYC.
